SIP Investment

A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) invests a fixed amount in a mutual fund scheme at regular intervals. It builds a saving habit and spreads your purchases across market ups and downs.

How a SIP works

  1. You choose a scheme, an amount and a date.
  2. The amount is debited from your bank account on that date through a mandate.
  3. Units are allotted at that day's NAV, so you buy more units when prices are low and fewer when they are high.

Good to know

  • Minimum SIP amounts and available frequencies depend on the scheme.
  • You can usually pause or stop a SIP, subject to the scheme's terms.
  • A SIP does not guarantee profit or protect against loss.
